Our Model of Six:
Our main focus will always be to support creativity, Whatever economical action we will take, the profit it generates will serve our main project: INDIEunderground.
The model of Six consists out of 5 economical activities and one non-profit. Each activity will be self-sustainable and will get a seperate funding. The activities themselves will overlap and try to interact with each other. So will the restaurant serve dishes created by the ingredients the shop offers, and will the dining room be used to house sleep-overs in. You might regard to it as a small community, but it differs in this that outside guests will be welcomed as well.
With this model, we hope to inspire others into copying this model and inspire the world. Feel free to copy this and try it our in your own neighbourhood.

INDIEshop (Sociological & biological alimentation store)
The INDIEshop is based upon 2 simple rules:
1- Cover all fixed expenses before trading
2- Avoid waste and deliver upon demand
Thanks to those two principles, INDIEshop will be able to supply the goods it offers at the costing price of the items plus some minor costs such as transportation and some percentage to add to the INDIEunderground funding. The INDIEshop-model will be possible to extracted to other locations. And hopefully it will! Note that this is a local engagement, so distances for home-delivery will be minimal. Prices will be less than those of what you pay at the supermarket store, with the possibility to track your food down to the manufacturer. It is an open model, and based on group purchases. The store will not sell any processed foods, and will promote going back to basics and cook or bake yourself.

INDIEtrade (Trading with respect for nature and people)
Just like INDIEshop, INDIEtrade will also respect 2 rules:
1- First get the order, then make it and then deliver it
2- Individual trade (meaning every trade will be made by a person, you know who will benefit from it)
INDIEtrade is a fair trade between faces, not companies. The aim of INDIEtrade is to involve people who create something by themselves, preferably an item that can be personalised, and connect them with people who sell things by themselves. (think salesman on markets)
There are many items that are local which can be sold in other regions of the world, and INDIEtrade wants to establish this. We aim to trade ecological items in an ecological way. (no added ballast to the environment) In time we hope to create a huge network of people who love travelling and can transport items with them for a fair price. In the beginning, there will have to be made use of established ways of transportation. Like the post, or handling companies. This is not our preferred way, but it is inavoidable in the beginning.
INDIErestaurant (A low-budget ecological restaurant with the aim to connect people)
The point of the restaurant ids to deliver quality food at a very reasonable price. With the restaurant we want to provide in one of the most basic needs and this is food. We are well aware that there is a lot of food being produced which is harmful to your health and that has been grown in an environmental hazardous way. We want to offer food that is:
1- Ecologically grown (we will find the private producers ourselves)
2- A choice between 2 high-vibrational dishes (Vegetarian and non-vegetarian)
3- The non-vegetarian dish will not include meat from animals that have been raised in captivity (because of our belief that the animals are aware of this and will produce low-vibrational food)
4- Served at a low price
5- in a social inspiring environment (large tables, for groups of people instead of a lot of seperate tables for 2-4 persons)
The location of the restaurant will be in a bigger (touristical) city since we want to promote this kind of dining and are hoping to attract a lot of different people, we want to mix locals and visitors and stimulate connecting with each other.
The restaurant will have an open kitchen (we have nothing to hide) and will be mostly self-service to cut expenses. The founding of it will be done through crowdfunding and from income from the INDIEunderground projects.
The restaurant itself will only be open for a limited set of hours.
INDIEbar and INDIEclub (a platform for Creativity)
INDIEbar will promote creativity and open-mindedness. It shall not stimulate the consumption of alcoholic beverages, but will focus on more healthy drinks such as tea and home-brewed lemonade. It will reject all commercial drinks such as the big brands like Coca-Cola.
We will be a platform for artists, meaning we will host concerts, expositions, classes and many more. We want to offer space for bands who do not have a repetition room themselves and will organise jam-sessions so musicians can connect.
At night, we will organise dancing classes and have theme-based evenings with a specific kind of music, in line with the dancing class of that day so you can practise what you've learned. All this will be offered for free!
We will operate as a private club, with membership, this to have a control over the people we let in. We might be open-minded ourselves but do not wish to just let anyone in. For sure not if they have been known to misbehave in the club.
We will also offer the opportunity to pay a certain amount on a monthly basis, and with that you will be able to drink as much tea or coffee as you like. So you won't have an excuse not to visit us when your budget ran out.
This is one of our bigger projects and it might take a while before it is all set. Until then we will simply outsource our activities through the INDIEunderground project.
INDIEbed (a place to rest for everyone who doesn't have shelter)
With INDIEbed we want to offer the possibility of a good night's rest at a very low cost or for free. We will maximise the use of our locations, and therefor we would use the location of the INDIErestaurant as a sleep-over place at night. In return for a small fee or a helping hand (like help doing the dishes, clean the restaurant, help transforming it into a dormitory,...), you can stay at our dorm.
The INDIEbed project will simply make use of the space we already have, so we will not need a lot of money to realise this one. This means that the money that is made from it, will almost integrally go to the organisation of other events that might enlighten the visitors or help fund our artistic projects.
